2017-2018:  11th  year of teaching.

I LOVE praying with my students and teaching them about Jesus. Having taught in public school, I realize what a blessing it is to be able to pray and share the gospel in school. I also love teaching my kindergarteners how to read!

I am a native of Columbus. I have been married to my husband, Matt, for 18 years, and we have two boys, Matthew (13) and Luke (10). Matthew and Luke both attend CCA. When Matt and I moved away after we got married, I never thought we would move back to Columbus. However, after 11 years, we felt God was calling us to move back home. I am so thankful He did, and I’m so thankful He called us to CCA. This school has always been so special to me, since I was a student here many years ago. My fourth grade teacher at Immanuel (now CCA) was my inspiration for becoming a teacher, and my dream was to teach in a Christian school. What a blessing it is to serve in that ministry today!
My classroom Bible verse is one of my favorite verses. Psalm 118:24: This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. We begin each day by singing this verse. It’s a great way to start the day!!

The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God,which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:4-7)
